Harrison Bergeron/2081

The book is more effective in satirizing the concept of total equality.  The movie had a bomb which made it seem that Harrison was prepared to die and his actions seemed like they were made as a threat. Also in the movie he made a huge speech. In the book there was no bomb and he started his short speech with "I am the emperor" It shows he wants to take over, and fix things. In the book he also kisses the ballerina, it shows his soft side and that being equal isn't everything, it wasn't in the movie. The handicapper general also kills them while they are kissing, which shows her weakness.
